The Vortec 2.9L DOHC four-cylinder with variable valve timing (VVT) produces 185 hp at 5,600 rpm and 190 lb.-feet of torque at 2,800 rpm. It replaces the previous 2.8L four-cylinder produced between 2004 and 2006.
