Chevrolet’s legendary LS V8 has gone through several stages of evolution, and the LS3 is among the most popular for engine swaps and for the ultimate range of tuning and induction possibilities. With a bomb-proof bottom end and high-flow L92 rectangular port heads, this 6.2L monster arrives with 430hp and 425 lb./ft. of torque right out of the crate. The LS3 is a compact and lightweight V8 that will drop right into a surprising number of applications. Coming straight from the GM factory, the LS3 crate engine features modern manufacturing technology that offers increased reliability and a staggeringly flat torque curve. But the old-school engine architecture means you can also enjoy that classic Chevy V8 sound and feel.
