What do you get when you take Chevrolet Performance’s aggressive ASA camshaft developed for the high-rpm world of circle-track racing and slip it into the LS3 6.2L engine? You get an engine with fuel-injected ferocity for your performance car! Swap this 6.2L engine into your build and enjoy every bit of its 525 horsepower. We call it the LS376/525, and if take-no-prisoner performance is what you’re looking for in your pro-touring Camaro or resto-mod Chevelle, this is it. This complete package includes the engine, manual transmission, electronic controllers and all the necessary wire harnesses – all for less than the cost of buying the components separately.
This high-revving powerhouse is one of our most powerful production-based crate engines. The ASA camshaft is a hydraulic roller with .525-inch lift on both sides, along with 226 degrees of duration on the intake side and 236 degrees on the exhaust side. Coupled with a tight, 110-degree lobe separation angle, it helps the engine deliver excellent throttle response and breathe exceptionally well at high rpm. And for durability, we complement the cam with higher-rate valve springs.
Chevy’s engines and transmissions are matched for optimal performance and durability, so you can push for every possible bit of horsepower with total confidence. Put this combo to work in your build and enjoy a great balance of performance and efficiency. The specially calibrated controllers are designed for retrofit installations in older vehicles, for easier and quicker installation.
This powertrain system is backed by the T56 Super Magnum six-speed manual transmission for thrill of selecting your own gears and a double overdrive to make highway cruising a pleasure. These transmissions are rated to 700 lb.-ft. of torque and are brand new from the ground up. They use an extensively modified transmission case to prevent leaks under high-stress conditions and increase overall power-handling capabilities. The exterior case is similar in style to the T56 used in the fourth-generation F-body with stronger, high-capacity gear sets, input shaft and output shaft used in the Tremec TR6060. Kit includes shifter handle and Chevrolet Performance-logo ball-type shift knob to complete your install.

NOTE: All components, engine, transmission, controllers and installation kits are ordered and delivered separately.
Important Notes
For a complete installation, the builder will need to source additional components to complete the engine assembly and get the vehicle running, including:
- Fuel tank and fuel lines (re-circulating or returnless)
- Fuel pump – 58 psi (400 kPa) for all engines except LSA, which requires 65 psi (450 kPa)
- Air induction system that incorporates the mass airflow sensor
Additionally, all engines require a front-end accessory drive system. The instructions included with each kit lists recommendations and Chevrolet Performance offers several configurations to suit different applications. Each allows the installer to easily delete air conditioning. Note that exhaust manifolds are NOT INCLUDED.
