Best of all, unique algorithms enable the 8L90-E to deliver shift performance that rivals the quickest dual-clutch/semiautomatic transmissions found in many supercars ? but with the smoothness and refinement that comes with a conventional automatic fitted with a torque converter.
A numerically high 4.56 first gear ratio offers strong take-off performance while a wide 7.0:1 overall ratio helps enhance cruising efficiency. This version incorporates a slip yoke design (to be used with the LT1) and includes the torque converter, controller and harness.
